FEATURES

Program service name (PS)

This feature allows the radio to display up to eight characters identifying the tuned station name such as "The Edge" or "WWKI-FM."

 

Alternate frequency switching (AF)

This feature allows the radio to automatically tune to another station with identical programming when the signal quality of the current station becomes poor.

Traffic announcement (TP/TA)

This feature enables the radio to temporarily interrupt the audio program, including CD and cassette tape, with updated traffic conditions.

Emergency broadcast (PTY-31)

This feature interrupts the audio to announce a weather or disaster alert.

Program type search (PTY)

This feature allows the listener to easily search for stations matching a selected program type such as: news, sports, rock or country.

Program type name (PTYN)

This feature allows the radio to display up to eight characters identifying the name of the program on the current station such as "Limbaugh" or "P. Harvey."

Radio text (RT)

This feature allows the radio to display radio station messages such as: current artist and song title, weather, promotions, and other text related to the current program. Message lengths of up to 64 characters are supported.

Automatic clock time (CT)

This feature enables the radio clock to be accurately set by an RDS station.

Enhanced other network (EON)

This feature enables the radio to temporarily switch from the current station to news and traffic announcements on other stations. It also provides alternate frequency updates for associated networks.
