EUonline is conducting this survey to detirmine if there is enough NPR member station interest in a voluntary coordination of PI bits. The advantages of a nationwide coordination of PI bits means that listeners can travel from area to area listening to the same radio program---assuming that a member station's repeaters and translators are 'simulcasting' the same material (either network or local programming), and sending the same PI bits.
If there is sufficient desire from the membership, EUonline could act as the central coordinator of PI bit allocation--again only as a coordinator for stations that wish to voluntarily participate.
