- The Future Interconnect System Program Office The group in charge of
designing and implementing the next generation of satellite distribution systems and
services. A seperate office within the structure of NPR Distribution funded directly by CPB.
- FX
- Foreign Exchange An out-of-town outside line of a house telephone
system like the Rolm or a Bell Centrex. Would be equivalent to us having a separate
Baltimore line, for example, so Baltimore people could call us without paying for long
distance.
