This is the first, and most critical, section of operation. Once you get the data path right the codecs will generally take care of themselves.

These instructions refer to the ADTRAN ISU-128 (shown here) which, at NPR,  is the terminal adapter used for the RE-660/661.isu_128.gif (6833 bytes)
The ISU-2x64 is used at NPR with CDQ-1000 and the CDQ-2000 codecs. It differs only slightly from the ISU-128.
