This new generation codec is only capable of Mono operation. It is capable of Layer 3, Layer 2 and G.722. The operation is menu-driven, similar, but not identical, to the Prima.

NPR RoadRunners have been configured with speed dials to connect to the RC Zephyr, MC Zephyr, Prima and CDQ-2000. at 128K Layer 2 Mono. It is possible to connect with other equipment and other modes, but the quality will not be as good.

Speed Dial 46 on the NPR RoadRunners will call the MC Prima at 128K Layer 2 Mono. Speed Dial 36 on the Prima will configure it correctly to receive the call.
