This is the first Layer III audio codec to hit the market. Still among the simplest to use, the latest incarnation supports some flavors of Layer II as well as G.722. There are many options available so this description will tend to get a bit involved.

Decoder DIP 6: It is necessary to make a DIP Switch change to allow the CDQ-2000 to receive audio from a non-CCS codec. Set rear-panel DIP Switch 6 to the UP position. Remember to normal it after the feed.

Connections between a Zephyr and the RE are limited by the choice of terminal adapter at our end. This may be remedied in the near future.
